The Saint George Art Museum is a ‘must see’ for visitors and residents of Saint George. How fortunate the city is to have such a wonderful display of Utah and southwestern art and photography, skillfully arranged and meticulously cared for by an expert staff of mostly volunteer help. The museum is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2007 and is close to attaining accreditation from the American Association of Museums.
If you get to the Saint George Art Museum before the end of March, you will have a chance to view the magnificent photography taken by members of the Color Country Camera Club of Saint George. The pieces are absolutely incredible! If you happen to miss this display, there is always another wonderful collection adorning the museum walls.
There are several fascinating programs for youths and adults, including conversations with the artists. The public is encouraged to become very involved in all activities there, and donations are always needed and accepted. Check with museum staff for dates and times of upcoming events. The museum is located at 47 East 200 North, which is right across the street from the Saint George Post Office. Phone the desk staff for hours of operation @ 435 634-5924 or visit them on the web @:
