Located between Long Valley Junction on Utah’s Hwy 89 and the intersection of Hwy 14 & 143 in Kane County, is the quaint and elegant community of Duck Creek Village. Wild flowers pop to life after a long winter’s nap, the rivers run quicker as the snow cap melts and gushes through the bottlenecks. Hikers and photographers take advantage of some of the most magnificent scenery in all of Southern Utah in late March, through April, and into early May. This is Dixie National Forest land. It is deep and mighty, and newcomers to the trails are advised to pick up a detailed map so as to discover the best hikes that fit your physical abilities, and to stay on track.
Navajo Lake, a beautiful body of shimmering water, is a mere four miles from the village limits. As spring becomes summer, boats will appear on the water filled with fishers, skiers, and pleasure seekers.
