Accessing Lake Powell is very easy, as there are hundreds if not thousands of resorts, campgrounds, public boat landings, and private accesses-for-fee. For those coming from the Saint George neighborhoods, Big Water Utah is the choice of many. Depending on the size boat you may be towing to the lake, this ride can take 2 to 2 ½ hours. A quick boat ride southeast from Big Water to Wahweep gets you to the main body of Lake Powell. Page, Arizona is also a very popular place to launch, get supplies, and gas up for your watery adventures. Be careful on Lake Powell and use common sense, for it can get crowded on weekends and holidays.
